How long does the battery of the GPS tracker e-bike last?
You connect the GPS tracker to your STOER Bike's battery, so there's no need to charge it separately. In addition, the tracker has a built-in backup battery that lasts about 2.5 weeks, even when the main battery is dead. This keeps your bike trackable at all times.
Does the GPS tracker e-bike also work abroad?
Yes, you can see the location of your bike throughout Europe. This is handy when you go on vacation to France or Germany, for example. However, the professional tracking service currently works only in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Can I install the GPS tracker e-bike myself?
No, a certified STOER Bikes dealer or mechanic must always perform the installation. This ensures that the mechanic connects the tracker correctly, installs it invisibly and makes it work properly. Improper installation can lead to tracking problems or damage to your bike.
Does the GPS tracker e-bike also give notifications while cycling?
No, you will not receive notifications during normal use. The GPS system does record your route and statistics, but only sends alarms when someone moves your bike unexpectedly or leaves a set geofence. So you won't get unnecessary notifications.
Is the STOER connect app with GPS tracker e-bike compatible with iOS and Android?
Yes, you can use the STOER connect app on both iPhones (iOS) and Android smartphones. You download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play Store. For optimal operation, we do recommend a recent version of the operating system.
What happens if the police recover my bike after theft?
When the police recover your bike, the GPS tracker e-bike just stays active and your subscription continues. You don't have to do anything extra - the tracker just keeps protecting your bike for any future incidents. This is unlike some other systems where you have to replace the tracker.
Can I pair multiple STOER Bikes with GPS tracker e-bike?
Yes, you can link multiple bikes to one account in the STOER connect app. This is useful when you have both a fatbike and a cargo bike, for example, or when multiple family members use a STOER Bike. Each bike does need its own GPS tracker e-bike and subscription.
