The German Design Award is one of Europe's most important design awards. The prize is awarded by the German Design Council, a foundation established by the German parliament. Each year, an international jury of experts judges thousands of products on criteria such as innovation, functionality, safety, ergonomics and durability. Only products that are truly innovative receive this recognition.

The jury chose the CargoX because we have created a unique combination of safety, innovation and Dutch design. Our electric cargo bike differs from traditional cargo bikes in several ways.

We were the first in the Netherlands to develop a cargo bike with extra-thick tires. These tires ensure maximum stability and safety. The most important advantage? You no longer get stuck in streetcar rails, a problem many cargo bike users struggle with on a daily basis. Moreover, the wide tires offer superior grip on any road surface. As a result, you will ride stably and safely even in rain or slippery conditions. In short, the CargoX is the SUV among cargo bikes it is robust, powerful and safe.

The Gates CDX belt drive makes the CargoX especially low-maintenance. Unlike a traditional chain, you never have to lubricate the belt. This saves you time and costs, while also keeping your hands clean. In addition, a belt drive lasts much longer than a chain and rides much quieter.

The Bafang H720 engine with 95Nm of torque and automatic 2-speed transmission makes every ride effortless. Even with a full load of 150 kg, you pull up without any problems. In addition, the 960Wh battery provides a range of 60 to 80 km, depending on your riding style and load.

Safety was our top priority from day one. The CargoX is therefore equipped with LED lights, turn signals and brake lights. The cargo bike also features a PIN code immobilizer and a standard Tracefy Pro GPS Tracker. That way you know your investment is well protected.

This international recognition is a confirmation of our vision. From the beginning, Joeri and I wanted to prove that a cargo bike with fat tires can be not only tough and different, but also functional and safe.

The CargoX is not a traditional cargo bike. We deliberately chose a different approach. Traditional cargo bikes have narrow tires that regularly get caught in streetcar rails. This creates dangerous situations, especially in busy cities like Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam.
Our extra-wide tires offer superior grip on any road surface. Even in rain, snow or slippery conditions, you keep a stable ride. That makes you feel safe, especially when you are transporting your children.
Furthermore, a traditional cargo bike with chain requires a lot of maintenance. You have to lubricate regularly, check the tension and replace the chain. With the CargoX, this maintenance is largely eliminated thanks to the belt drive. This saves time and money.
The automatic shifting system also makes a difference. While traditional cargo bikes require you to shift gears manually, the CargoX does so automatically.
