What is the difference between a cargo bike rain cover and a rain tent?
A rain canopy is a compact, low canopy that is stretched directly over the tub. A rain canopy has a frame made of tent poles and offers more headroom. The rain canopy often has zippers on the sides that allow children to get in and out independently.
Can I use a rain tent as a sun tent as well?
This is not recommended. In a rain tent, direct sunlight can quickly make it too hot for children. A sun tent is made of airier material that ventilates better. For summer, it is better to buy a separate sun canopy.
Will any rain hood or rain tent fit my cargo bike?
No, rain protection is often brand specific. Always check that the product is suitable for your cargo bike model. An incorrectly fitting canopy offers less protection and may come off while riding.
How do I clean my cargo bike rain cover or rain tent?
Use lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents. Let the canopy dry thoroughly before storing it to avoid mold growth.
What do I get as standard with the STOER CargoX?
With the STOER CargoX, you get the safety bar with rain cover included as standard and already mounted. Together with the GPS Tracker Tracefy Pro, this is a savings of almost €720 in accessories.
Can I use a Maxi-Cosi with a rain cover?
It depends on the height of the rain canopy. Many rain canopies are too low for a Maxi-Cosi. A rain canopy usually does offer sufficient height. Check the specifications of both products before purchasing.
How long does a good rain tent last?
With proper maintenance, a quality rain tent will last for several years. Pay attention to the quality of the material, seams, window film and zippers. Cheaper models may show signs of wear after only one or two seasons.
Can I leave the rain tent on all year?
You can, but it's not always practical. In the summer, it can get too hot in a closed rain tent. It is convenient to be able to remove the tent when the weather permits and you want more ventilation.
