For last-mile delivery, electric fatbikes with belt drive a low-maintenance alternative. However, the belt drive ensures longer service life and fewer maintenance intervals. This therefore results in higher uptime and lower operating costs.

In fact, leasing arrangements for electric fatbikes offer companies financial flexibility and operational advantages. These cannot match direct purchase. With operating leases, however, you pay a fixed monthly fee. As a result, you do not have to make a large initial investment.

A key advantage, therefore, is that the leasing company retains ownership of the bikes. In fact, maintenance, insurance and repairs are often included in the contract. This gives you predictable monthly costs without unexpected expenses. Plus, the fatbikes don't stay on your balance sheet.

With financial leasing, however, you become the owner of the fatbikes upon completion. Therefore, this construction offers the advantages of paying in instalments. At the same time, you can take advantage of the full tax benefits.

Flexibility is another big advantage because lease contracts are often tunable. After all, do you want to switch to newer models after a few years? Then that is easy to arrange.

For growing companies, business bike leasing offers the opportunity to gradually expand your fleet. However, this is done in line with your growing operation without large investments.

Joeri deliberately chose operational lease. "For our UrbanX fatbike we chose operational lease because everything is taken care of. Maintenance, insurance - all we have to do is ride!"

In fact, to calculate the Return on Investment of electric fatbikes, you need to compare the total cost reduction. However, start by taking stock of purchase costs including any modifications. Then subtract subsidies and tax benefits.
